love me lahana recipe for chicken
Best ever with mince of your choice follow all other recipe onion herbs rice garlic tomato paste chick stock lemon salt pepper but i do wine leaves & i do not heat them up straight out of pkt or jar cause i also love the brine taste un them as well
I made a couple of changes, but turned out fantastic. Used ground turkey, rest of the stuffing the same. Sprayed Pyrex dish with olive oil, laid out the rolls, poured about 3/4 cup of chicken broth, covered and baked for 60 minutes on top rack at 400 degrees.Doubled the amount of sauce and used half and half instead of milk. After baking, basted the stock out of the dish, whisked it into the sauce, ladled it over rolls and put it back in the oven for 5 minutes. I have my wife and 2 15 year old twin girls. They loved it. Thank you.
Made this the first time exactly as indicated in the recipe. Very tasty but I personally found using the milk made the sauce lay heavy on my stomach. I did a test the second time I made the recipe and used stock to replace the milk. I added slightly less flour and slightly less stock/liquid and it was perfect, loved the recipe even more.
Los Angeles is a great place to try all sorts of food, I certainly had my share of kebabs and baklava, and I had something similar to the cabbage rolls in this recipe at a Polish restaurant, which was amazing. I am excited to give the Turkish version a try and would love to try other recipe in the cook book.
I absolutely love this recipe! A friend of mine used to make me these during the holidays and he would substitute wild rice for the white rice. It was a little strange at first but I got accustomed to it. My friend moved out of state so I had to learn how to make them myself. He gave me your recipe :). I cannot believe how easy this recipes is and so delicious!!! I do not put parsley in mine because I just do not understand the purpose of parsley. I love the dill and I am not stingy when it comes to this recipe. I just made a batch for my daughter.
If you love stuffed grape leaves dolma, you have to try these meatless cabbage rolls or lahana sarmasi as we say in Turkish too. Both recipes are full of flavors and perfect for special dinner parties. You might also want to see our list of the best Turkish dishes.
I love this recipe. I do one with gravy instead of tomatoes. I love tomatoes but my brothers can't and won't eat them so it is a sacrafice I have to make I guess. It is hard to find recipes that don't use tomatoes and peppers, or mushrooms etc.

I had this ramen cabbage years ago with sugar and who knows what in the dressing. I love this recipe the best, by far. The dressing is just perfect and the addition of the edamame is great. This is a keeper.
If you like Meat Stuffed Grape Leaves (Dolmas), you will definitely love this cozy and comforting dish too. To make this easy stuffed cabbage recipe, all you need is a handful of ingredients that you might already have in hand.
I love this recipe and have made it several times as written. Tonight I riffed on it because of what I had in the fridge. Subbed frozen spinach for kale, a few canned plum tomatoes, olives and tofu cubes I baked along with the squash. Threw in chopped garlic clove along with the rosemary. Small spaghetti squash was perfectly done at 30 minutes. Topped with chopped walnuts and nutritional yeast. So happy with how it turned out.

We loved this!!! I have not had stuffed cabbage in years, so I decided to try this recipe and it was awesome. It was also the 1st time I have made cauliflower rice and it too amazing. I am a cook whom makes up my own recipes, but there is absolutely nothing I would change in this recipe (well except I added a little garlic powder to the tomato sauce). Thank you so much. I will be making this again.

My kids never liked it from the restaurant. I followed your recipe and added a few of my touches. You know Portuguese people always add, lol. There was nothing left. They loved it. Thank you, David.
